Taken from the sleeve notes: WDM approached One Tree Island, Manchester ethnodub party organisers, to help support the profile of their recently formed Manchester campaigning group. Several fundraising activities were considered before agreeing to compile some of One Tree Island’s favourite contemporary sounds. Mr. Scruff and Guy GonDwana, One Tree residents, selected a plethora of funky beatdriven tracks with some ethnic spices. Gary McClarnan of Potential Development then compiled, licensed and edited the selection from generous providers across several continents. The result is One World Or None, a trip through the funky soul food of the underground dancehall.
